As part of the activities marking Brain Awareness Week 2024, a joint clinical workshop titled “Innovative Technologies for Brain Health: Diagnostics, Monitoring & Accessibility” will take place on April 24, 2025.

The hybrid event will bring together researchers, clinicians, and innovation stakeholders from four EU-funded projects-2D-BioPAD, MUNASET, COMFORTage, and EQUICARES-with the aim of fostering collaboration and addressing current challenges and opportunities in clinical studies and brain health technologies.

The workshop will open with presentations from the project coordinators, who will introduce their respective projects, outline their objectives, and identify shared goals and areas for potential collaboration.

A central session of the event will focus on the design of clinical studies, as well as the barriers and enabling factors related to innovation in brain health. Experts, including representatives from the University of Eastern Finland, will discuss the scientific, clinical, and societal challenges involved in developing accessible and effective technologies for diagnosis and monitoring.

The programme will also feature a round-table discussion exploring the increasing need for more accessible and efficient brain health diagnostics and monitoring solutions. Participants will exchange perspectives on how emerging technologies can contribute to earlier diagnosis, patient-centered care, and more inclusive healthcare systems across Europe.

The workshop will conclude with an interactive open discussion aimed at strengthening collaboration in brain health research and encouraging future synergies among European initiatives.
