
All project partners met in Tirana, Albania, on 30 September and 1 October for the 5th Consortium Meeting, held alongside NanoBalkan2025. Over two days, the consortium reviewed progress and discussed next steps toward early and accessible Alzheimer’s disease diagnosis.
Partners shared updates on the selection of aptamers to target specific Alzheimer’s biomarkers, showing steady progress in this key area. The team also presented the latest developments in biosensor prototypes, as well as progress on the device and mobile app.
Plans for starting the retrospective clinical pilot study were discussed, including timelines and next actions. The meeting also included a session with the advisory board, whose feedback helped guide the project’s future work.
The meeting in Tirana confirmed strong collaboration among partners and clear progress across all parts of the project.
